If you wish to stand firm in the future,

to seek God’s satisfaction, and follow Him to the road’s end,

you must build a strong foundation,

practice truth in all things, be mindful of His will.

If you maintain this practice, in you a foundation builds.

God will inspire your heart, He’ll give you faith, you’ll love Him.

One day when trials come,

you may suffer some pain and crushing grief just like death,

but your love for God won’t change.

Even deeper it becomes.

Such is the blessing of God.

If you accept God’s words and work with an obedient heart,

God’s promise you will receive, you’ll surely be blessed by God.

If today you don’t practice, when one day trials befall

you’ll be without faith or love.

Trials become temptation.

Into Satan’s test you will fall, you’ll have no way to escape.

Now when a small trial comes, you may be able to still stand firm.

But when major testing happens, you may be the one who turns.
